October games are over for the Ottawa Senators. Overall, the Senators went 6-5-1 in October. Now, November has arrived for the Senators with the first game awaiting against the Montreal Canadiens.
The Senators and Canadiens are right in the discussion early for a team that can win the Atlantic Division. In an early November clash, it's a game for both teams to have.

The Senators travel to Bell Centre to take on the Canadiens. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
On Thursday night, the Senators earned themselves a huge 4-3 shootout win against the Calgary Flames at home. It was a game the Senators never led, but rallied from three one-goal deficits to win the game.
Lars Eller, Artem Zub and Jake Sanderson each scored a goal in the win. Linus Ullmark made 27 saves to redeem himself from his last start against the Chicago Blackhawks. The win moved Ottawa into third place in the Atlantic Division.
For the Canadiens, they are 8-3-0 overall to begin the season, and currently sit in first place in the Atlantic Division. After losing 5-2 in the season opener to the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Canadiens have won eight of their last 10 games with the most recent game being a 4-3 overtime road win on Tuesday night against the Seattle Kraken.
Nick Suzuki's game has taken off this season with leading the Canadiens with 16 points, 14 assists and his +9 rating is the highest on the roster. Cole Caufield leads the Canadiens with nine goals and is second on the roster with 13 points, and last year's Calder Trophy winner Lane Hutson has 10 points.
Last season, the Canadiens won the season series against the Senators with winning three of the four meetings. This preseason, the two teams split against each other. The Canadiens shutout the Senators 5-0 in Quebec City on Sept. 30, but the Senators won the second meeting 3-1 in Montreal on Oct. 4.
