Tim Stutzle breaks another record in Senators history against Capitals

When the Ottawa Senators drafted Tim Stutzle third overall in the 2020 NHL Draft, they hit the lottery. Stutzle has recorded the most points out of everyone in the 2020 NHL Draft.

Stutzle sure has made his mark on the Senators at being just 23 years old. At the rate Stutzle is going, he will have a chance to go down as one of the best Senators in franchise history.

Stutzle sure has made his mark while playing for the Senators. In the Senators' last game this past Saturday, Stutzle moved himself into position to break a Senators record. Against the Washington Capitals, Stutzle made Senators history.

Stutzle breaks Senators record for most consecutive games with 11

With his assist he recorded on Claude Giroux's powerplay goal early in the third period, Stutzle not only extended his point streak to 12 games, but it broke a Senators record. Stutzle now has the Senators record for most consecutive games with an assist with 11 games.

Prior to tonight, Stutzle shared the record at 10 games with Sergei Gonchar and Mark Stone. Now, Stutzle owns the record.

The assist streak wasn't the first record Stutzle broke this season. In November, Stutzle broke the Senators record by scoring the most goals in franchise history before turning 23 years old.

Stutzle's 2024-25 season has been a special one with leading the Senators with in points and assists. As the playoff chase gets closer, The Senators will continue to rely on Stutzle to help guide them to the 2025 playoffs.
