Wyatt Bongiovanni first started getting his hockey play recognized in the USHL after posting back-to-back 30-point seasons from 2016-2018. Those two seasons helped Bongiovanni get ready to play at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut starting in 2018-19.

In the AHL with the Bellveille Senators in 2024-25, Bongiovanni was solid and one of Belleville's top players. Bongiovanni recorded career-highs in goals, assists and points.
When the 2024-25 season concluded, Bongiovanni finished with 22 goals, 11 assists and 33 points in 54 games played. Bongiovanni's 22 goals were tied for the most on Belleville's roster with Angus Crookshank.
Bongiovanni became one of Belleville's go-to players on the powerplay and clutch players as well. Bongiovanni was second on Belleville's roster with eight powerplay goals, and his five game-winning goals were the most on the roster.
The hottest stretch that Belleville saw from Bongiovanni came this past January where he recorded two hat tricks over a three-game span.
Bongiovanni re-signed to a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Senators on July 1 at 25 years old. Bongiovanni improved majorly in the AHL in just one full season in Belleville. With success in 2024-25, NHL time could be due for Bongiovanni in 2025-26 in Ottawa.
