Being on a video game cover for a hockey player can be seen as an honor. Recently, one Ottawa Senators player made a video game cover.

Although he's not on the regular edition of the video game, Senators captain Brady Tkachuk will be featured on the NHL 26 Deluxe Edition with his brother Matthew and father Keith. Having the Tkachuk family on the cover the year after the Hughes family was on the cover of the deluxe edition is showing more duos or trios could be the way to go.

Tkachuk is the fifth Senator to ever appear on an NHL video game cover. However, there's one Senator who could have a replicate of what happened for a country in the late 2000s.

Stutzle could be on a soon German edition with other German players

For NHL 09, Dion Phaneuf was on the original cover of the video game, but Senators legend Daniel Alfredsson was on the cover for only a Swedish release for the video game. With EA Sports recently showing more than one cover athlete for a deluxe edition, there can be an idea for a German edition as it was for the Swedish edition for NHL 09.

Senators forward Tim Stutzle is one of the best German players in the NHL. Another top German player and one of the NHL's best players is Edmonton Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl.

With both Stutzle and Draisaitl being talented German forwards, and both of them will be teammates for Germany in the 2026 Winter Olympics, a German Edition of an NHL video game featuring both of them on the cover could be a potential idea in the future, and Stutzle has a case to be on a video game cover soon.

Stutzle's 326 career points are the most among the entire 2020 NHL Draft class. Stutzle led the Senators with 55 assists and 79 points last season, and was a big reason why the Senators made the playoffs for the first time in eight years.

Being on a video game cover would increase Stutzle's popularity in the league, and being on a video game cover with Draisaitl can make it grow more. Germany has seen an increase of talented players representing the country along with Stutzle and Draisaitl.

Moritz Seider, Nico Sturm and Philipp Grubauer are also other talented German players in the NHL, but Stutzle and Draisaitl are arguably the top two in the NHL. It can make both Stutzle and Draisaitl the higher choices for a video game cover.

Stutzle has made Germany proud with how fast his game has risen since first playing. With Draisaitl taking the NHL by storm with Stutzle as Germans, a German edition NHL video game cover featuring the two of them could be an idea in the future with EA Sports recently showing more than one player for deluxe versions.
