Being on a video game cover can be an honor for any athlete. For hockey video games, there has been some inconic video game covers.

To Scott Stevens featured on NHL Hitz 2002, to Alex Ovechkin featured on NHL 07, to Martin Brodeur featured on NHL 14, to Vladimir Tarasenko featured on NHL 17, and many more.

Last year for NHL 25, the deluxe edition of the game featured the three Hughes brothers of Quinn, Jack and Luke. Now for the Deluxe Edition of NHL 26, it was time for the Ottawa Senators to have a player featured on the cover, and it was a no brainer selection.

Brady lands on NHL 26 cover with his family

Two days ago, it was announced that Florida Panthers superstar Matthew Tkachuk will be on the NHL 26 cover. However, the deluxe edition of the game will feature more than one Tkachuk. The NHL 26 Deluxe Edition will feature Matthew's father Keith and his brother Brady.

Brady is the fifth Senator to who have been named to a hockey video game cover. The four other Senators were Jason Spezza, Daniel Alfredsson, Mika Zibanejad and Craig Anderson.

Spezza was the first Senator to do so when he was the cover athlete of NHL 2K8. 2K stopped making hockey video games after 2010, but Spezza being the first Senator to be on a hockey video game cover is an honor.

NHL 09's cover athlete was Dion Phaneuf. However, Alfredsson was on the NHL 09 cover for the Swedish release.

Both Zibanejad and Anderson were a cover athlete for Ottawa copies only for the video game they were on a cover of. Zibanejad was on NHL 13 and Anderson was on NHL 14.

Now, Brady will have his turn to be on a cover. Being next to his brother and father can make the cover have more meaning for the family. NHL 26 will be available in September to play.
