This shouldn't come as a surprise for Senators' Tim Stutzle for Germany

Since being drafted third overall by the Ottawa Senators in the 2020 NHL Draft, Tim Stutzle has made a huge impact. Stutzle was one of the biggest reasons why the Senators made the 2025 playoffs with leading the team with 79 points.

Stutzle's 326 points are the most among any player from the 2020 draft class. At 23 years old, Stutzle game can continue to grow and become more of an elite player.

The talent of Stutzle is undeniable. Now, Stutzle can have another case to showcase his talent in a big hockey stage.

Stutzle will represent Germany at 2026 Olympics

NHL players have not participated in the Winter Olympics since 2014. The 4 Nations Face-Off in 2025 brought new life and hope of having more International competition. In 2026, it will return and Stutzle will have the honor of representing his country.

This morning, seven teams had the first six players of their teams announced for the 2026 Olympics. Stutzle was one of the six players announced for Germany's roster.

Leon Draisaitl, Moritz Seider, Nico Sturm, Lukas Reichel and Philipp Grubauer were the other five German players that were announced on the team with Stutzle.

Although he will have to wait until next season, Stutzle represnting his country on the Olympic stage will be a huge honor, and being named one of the first six players on Germany's team shows Stutzle's rise in hockey.

Stutzle will have the chance to play with one of the most exciting players in all of hockey with Draisaitl. Stutzle and Draisaitl will be one of the best duos to watch out for in the 2026 Olympics.
