Dave Cameron’s Crazy Lineups, Hamburglar Back

This Senators had an up and down week. 3 losses in a row until the team finally appeared to be back on track following a victory over the Red Wings

Andrew Hammond is back after being out 2 games with an injury, and should start here on out. It will be an “intense” playoff race as the Senators only have a handful of games remaining.

On the side, Dave Cameron’s lineups have caused some questioning around this team. Zack Smith with Ryan and Zibanejad? Hoffman on the 4th line? it’s certainly not helping, look for that to be another storyline to follow as this team pushes for the playoffs.

6th Sens “Sending The Wrong Message” – Nichols

Submission: Josh Chenoweth

6th Sens looks at Dave Cameron’s more questionable personnel issues of late, and reminds us all that many of the decisions he’s made have been due to injury. Like Nichols, I want Cameron to be different from Paul MacLean. So much.

Silver Seven “Silver Nuggets: On Criticism of Dave Cameron” – Ary M.

Submission: Trevor Shackles

More from SenShot

Great piece from Ary at SSS, and an even better title. He discusses the article at The 6th Sens, and his analysis is extensive. No matter what, Cameron’s lineup decisions haven’t worked of late, and he deserves some blame for that.

Ottawa Sun “Hamburglar Ready, So Senators Should Play Him” – Don Brennan

Submission: Jay Nowak

Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun voices his and the majority of Senators fans opinion on which Goalie should be starting in Detroit and for the rest of the Season. I pray Dave Cameron is listening to that Priest from a couple weeks ago.

WTYKY “Roundtable Of Death: Life Comes At You Fast”

The gang over at Welcome to Your Karlsson Years brings you a “Roundtable of Death” that isn’t as morbid as it sounds (although there is talk of a loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs…).

The guys get a chance to vent and discuss the Senators recent stretch of poor games while raising some very salient points.
I certainly understand that the team’s play could warrant some changes in the lineup, but in no universe would I advocate the use of Colin Greening over calling up a player like Shane Prince, or using Jared Cowen over… anyone.

A look at College NCAA Free Agent, Matt O’Connor and Ottawa’s potential interest in his services. What would that mean for Robin Lehner? A goalie of the same age. Ottawa Senators – Matt O’Connor

Jay looks at Chris Neil and Chris Phillips, two guys who could be done in Ottawa. Jay – Chris Neil + Phillips.

Trevor asks a similar question, but titles his post.. what has happened with Chris Phillips? Chris Phillips Talk.

Ergh. Why did the Sens Mile Motion even happen? Sens Mile.

Trevor reminds us that Robin Lehner still exists. Robin Lehner – Existence.

A piece looking at Jared Cowen, asking the question what to do with the 24-year-old defender who hasn’t appeared to progress in his development. Jared Cowen – What to do?

Jay’s piece on Mark Stone is a good one. Mark Stone – Success.
