Watching our seven game winning streak get snapped last night was not fun. Especially when you lose 5-1. But at the end of the day we are still in the playoff chase. The Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators are tied for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern conference with Ottawa holding the tie-breaker.

The past seven days have been great, not amazing but great. We play the Toronto Maple Leafs tomorrow followed by a game at the CTC against Florida. We have four big points to grab this weekend, so keep your heads up Sens fans! We can do this!

Alright, let’s get down to business…here is Senshot.com’s “Weekly Twitter Round Up!”

First Tweet: SensChirp “curse” is well and alive
Submitted By : Trevor Shackles (@ShackTS)

I thought this was pretty funny, considering SensChirp is usually the most optimistic of us Sens fans. I think this is how we all felt not too long ago, but it’s clear that the SensChirp “curse” is well and alive.

Second Tweet: Celebrate Good Times, C’mon!
Submitted By : Josh Chenoweth (@JoshyCanuck87)

The Sens are riding high right now. Capital Gains depicts what a day out for Karlsson, Ryan, Turris, and Zibanejad is probably like the last while.

Third Tweet : Binghamton Senators Tweet Of The Week
Submitted By: Jeff Ulmer (@Ski931)

Binghamton Senators defenseman Chris Wideman put up a tweet congratulating his younger brother Alex in helping the Miami RedHawks win its second conference tournament title in school history last weekend.

Fourth Tweet : Red Scarf Union Lending A Helping Hand
Submitted By : Eldrinson Vado  (@Eldrinson_Vado)

The Red Scarf Union are an army of die-hard Ottawa Senators fans founded back in 2007. The RSU were able to use the last-minute of play promotion during Senators games to give back. If the Senators score in the final minute of regulation in a game, Sens fans are able to redeem their ticket for a Big-Mac burger at Mcdonalds the following day. One RSU member decided to collect as many tickets as possible and give the burgers to the homeless in Ottawa. A deed that I found very, very thoughtful. I tip my hat off this week to the fine members of the Red Scarf Union for doing this. Good job guys!

Fifth Tweet: Can I Have Some Fries With That!
Submitted By : Eldrinson Vado (@Eldrinson_Vado)

With all the burger throwing mania happening at the end of Senators games at the CTC, fans were warned not to throw burgers anymore. A penalty would be issued to the Ottawa Senators if fans continued to fill the ice with burgers. If you are still throwing burgers on the ice at the end of the game, throw some fries too. Curtis Lazar will appreciate it.
