Eller signs with Sens on one-year deal
Today, Eller signed a one-year, $1.25 million contract with the Senators. The Senators will be Eller's sixth different NHL team.
Signing Eller can give the Senators fourth line production and excellent veteran leadership. With already re-signing Nick Cousins, adding Eller can make a solid fourth line teammate for Cousins.
Eller started the 2024-25 season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, then was traded to the Washington Capitals. Eller recorded 22 points in 80 combined games with the Penguins and Capitals, but was more solid in Washington with recording 15 points in 63 games.
The Senators can get quality fourth line goal scoring with signing Eller. In 12 of his 16 seasons, Eller has scored at least 10 goals in a season.
