Senators play Canadiens to conclude Quebec City preseason games

Sunday was the Ottawa Senators' first preseason game in Quebec City, Quebec. Tonight, the second and final one awaits against the Montreal Canadiens.

With the game taken place in Quebec City, it can offer as an exciting atmosphere for both the Senators and Canadiens, and an opportunity to head into October with momentum.

Sens play Habs in Quebec's capital

The Senators play the Canadiens at Videotron Centre in Quebec City, Quebec. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

Through three preseason games, the Senators have a 2-1-0 record with Sunday's 2-0 shutout win against the New Jersey Devils. Stephen Halliday scored a powerplay goal in the final mimutes to give the Senators a late 1-0 lead. Then, Olle Lycksell scored an empty-net goal to put the game on ice. Linus Ullmark played the whole game and recorded a 14-save shutout.

As for the Canadiens, they are 3-1-0 to start the preseason. Saturday was Montreal's most recent game with earning a 4-2 road win against the Toronto Maple Leafs

Playing in Quebec City may bring back memories of when the Canadiens played their old rival Quebec Nordiques in the Battle of Quebec before the Nordiques moved in 1995 to Denver, Colorado. However, tonight can offer as an opportunity for the Senators to finish September on a high note against a division rival.
