A chance against to finish the month on a high is there for the Senators against a struggling team, but the Flames will love a chance to play spoiler on the road in the nation's capital.

The Senators host the Flames at Canadian Tire Centre with a 7 p.m. ET puck drop.
On Tuesday night, the Senators suffered a brutal 7-3 loss to the Blackhawks. Connor Bedard helped the Blackhawks win with recording his first career hat trick. The loss in Chicago was the Senators' 13th loss in their last 15 games played at United Center. The arena sure has caused some haunting vibes to the Senators as an away team.
In the loss, Linus Ullmark had struggles with allowing in six goals. Jake Sanderson and Tim Stutzle each remained hot offensively with scoring a goal. In the loss, Stutzle did make Senators history with passing Chris Phillips for eighth all-time for assists in Senators history.
For the Flames, they are 2-8-1 overall to begin the season. After winning their season opener, the Flames have lost nine of their last 10 games with the most recent game being a 4-3 loss on Tuesday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Flames don't have a single 10-point player on their roster. Nazem Kadri's eight points and six assists lead the Flames in both categories. Blake Coleman's five goals are the most on the Flames roster. Although he was solid last year, Flames goaltender Dustin Wolf is struggling this season with a 2-7-1 record with a 3.44 GAA and .887 save percentage.
Last season, the Senators swept the two-game season series against the Flames. Both games won by the Senators were decided by one goal. One of the two wins was an overtime win in December 2024 by Brady Tkachuk in Calgary.
