Senators face Blues in first October preseason game in St. Louis

In September, the Ottawa Senators played four preseason games and won two of them. Today, the Senators' first preseason game of October awaits against the St. Louis Blues.

The Senators spent the past two preseason games playing in Quebec City, Quebec. Now, it's away from playing in Canada for the first time this preseason.

Senators face Blues in St. Louis to begin October preseason

The Senators travel to Enterprise Center to face the Blues in the preseason. Puck drop is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.

In the Senators' last preseason game on Tuesday against the Montreal Canadiens in Quebec City, they were crushed by a final of 5-0. Leevi Merilainen struggled with allowing in five goals on 18 shots.

For the Blues, they are struggling in the 2025 preseason with having an 0-3-1 record through four games. After losing 2-1 in the preseason opener, the Blues have lost their last three games in regulation and have been outscored 13-6 combined. The Blues fell in their last game 5-3 on Tuesday night against the Dallas Stars.

Last season, the Senators and Blues each earned one win against each other at home. When the two teams played each other in St. Louis on Jan. 3, the Blues shutout the Senators 4-0 behind a Brandon Saad hat trick.
