Since being drafted fourth overall in the 2018 NHL Draft, Brady Tkachuk has already turned into an Ottawa Senators fan favorite and legend. Tkachuk has served as Senators captain since November 2021 to add to his legend status in Ottawa.

2025 was the biggest year in the Tkachuk era in Ottawa. The Senators ended an eight-year playoff drought in 2025 with Tkachuk leading the way. Although 2025 ended rough with losing in six games to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round of the playoffs, the future is bright in Ottawa with Tkachuk with the "Brady" chants being louder than ever before.

The upcoming 2025-26 season in Ottawa has high expectations. Tkachuk has already made it clear his goal is to put the Senators in the best position possible before the 2026 Winter Olympics begin in February 2026 when he represents Team USA. However, even with the team goal being the top priority, Tkachuk can still reach milestones this upcoming season.

What milestones can Tkachuk achieve in 2025-26?

At the moment, Tkachuk has recorded 404 points in 512 games during his NHL career. With a new season upon him, there's milestones that Tkachuk can achieve for personal and Senators milestones.

Personal milestones Tkachuk could achieve:

9 goals for 200 goals in his career

46 points for 450 points in his career

38 games played for 550 games played in his career

3 powerplay goals for 60 powerplay goals in his career

241 hits for 2,000 hits in his career

Senators milestones Tkachuk could achieve:

34 games played to pass Chris Kelly for 10th most games played all-time in Senators history (Thomas Chabot has also played in 512 games played along with Tkachuk. Both Chabot and Tkachuk could achieve the same milestone at the same time and potentially be tied)*

28 goals to pass Alexei Yashin for third all-time in goals in Senators history

35 assists to pass Radek Bonk for sixth all-time in assists in Senators history (Tim Stutzle has 211 career assists to Tkachuk's 213 career assists with Senators, and could reach this milestone before Tkachuk does)*

7 points to pass Wade Redden for fifth most points all-time in Senators history

4 even strength goals to pass Yashin for third all-time in even strength goals in Senators history

1 game-winning goal to seventh all-time in game-winning goals in Senators history (currently tied with Bonk and Erik Karlsson with 25 goals)

7 penalty minutes to pass Chris Phillips for second all-time in penalty minutes in Senators history (some may put this as a milestone, some may not)*

The 2025-26 season will be an exciting one for the Senators with Tkachuk. However, the captain has a good amount of milestones that can be reached at some point during the season. The Senators' season opener is set for Oct. 9 against the Tampa Bay Lightning for Tkachuk to get his chance at starting to reach more milestones in his hockey career.
