It's a good thing that Drake Batherson will return to the lineup tomorrow night against the Buffalo Sabres because the Ottawa Senators' captain won't be in for some time.

After sustaining an injury after Predators defenseman Roman Josi cross-checked him in yesterday's game, Brady Tkachuk will be out for a significant amount of time according to Bruce Garrioch.

Tkachuk barely played in the third period and played under 14 minutes of ice time in yesterday's game. After the game, Tkachuk was seen with an ice pack on his wrist. Head coach Travis Green admitted the team didn't keep him out for precautionary reasons.

With being 1-2-0 so far, not having Tkachuk could hurt the team moving forward. Forwards like Tim Stutzle, Dylan Cozens, Fabian Zetterlund, Ridly Greig, Shane Pinto, Claude Giroux and Batherson will have to fill Tkachuk's role for goal scoring and production now.

Tkachuk had recorded three assists in three games to start the season.
