Sens clash against Bruins in Boston

The Senators travel to TD Garden for a clash against the Bruins. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Tonight is the second game in less than two weeks between the Senators and Bruins.

This past Saturday, the Senators put up a valiant effort against the Canadiens. The Senators trailed 2-0 after the first period, only to score three unanswered goals to take a 3-2 lead in the third period. Then, a late collapse happened.

Ivan Demidov scored to tie the game with 2:23 remaining in regulation, which then led to Alex Newhook scoring an overtime winner for the Canadiens off a bad turnover. Although the loss did hurt, a huge point was earned for the Senators.

For the Bruins, they have an 8-7-0 overall record to begin the season. After starting off the season losing six of their first nine games, the Bruins have won four of five of their last six games and are currently on a four-game winning streak. The Bruins defeated the New York Islanders 4-3 in a shootout on Tuesday night in their most recent game.

David Pastrnak leads the Bruins with 18 points, and his 11 assists are tied for the most on the roster along with Charlie McAvoy. Pavel Zacha is second on the Bruins with 13 points, and Morgan Geekie leads the Bruins with nine goals.

In the first meeting between the Senators and Bruins on Oct. 27, the Senators dominated with winning 7-2. After trailing 1-0 early in the first period, the Senators scored seven unanswered goals.
