Another edition of Senshot’s around the web. Looking at Daniel Alfredsson and his buddy Chris Phillips, who has had some issues with the media, not unlike those of Phil Kessel’s in Toronto. As well, a touch on Bryan Murray and Andrew Hammond as our favourite pieces are showcased from Around the web.

AROUND THE WEB:
The 6th Sens “Murray Speaks Twice” – Nichols
Submission: Trevor Shackles
Nichols posted another fantastic article that quotes Bryan Murray speaking after the deadline and his thoughts in bold. It’s long as always, but worth the read. I think he shares all of our disappointment that nothing occurred on Monday.
Ottawa Sun “Daniel Alfredsson To Receive Ottawa’s Highest Honour” – Keaton Robins
Keaton Robins piece up on the Ottawa Sun looks at previous recipients of the key to city, as Daniel Alfredsson is set to accept the honour today. Alfredsson joins a list that includes Elizabeth II, Alanis Morissette, Dan Aykroyd, and Margret Atwood.
Considering the way Alfredsson left the city, leaving the community and the team in shock, it has been nice to mend this relationship back together. First signing a ceremonial agreement and now accepting Ottawa’s highest honour as it was not only Daniel Alfredsson’s on-ice performance, but his off-ice commitments to the community that showcase what a wonderful person Alfie is.

WTYKY “Roundtable: Trade Deathline Edition” – Luke P.
Submission: Zachary Prenner
WTYKY has a recap of the Sens’ trade deadline. Spoiler alert, it wasn’t very momentous, but if you like hearing about Coldplay, Communism, and metaphors about Bryan Murray feeding deer, then you should check this out.
