A quick piece on Silver Seven about what could happen regarding Andrew Hammond in the midst of his impressive run. While I think this run is lightning in a bottle, the fact is he does deserve another contract (2-way) because of his play in the NHL. His AHL numbers… there is where I’d like to see some improvement next season.

Logan analyzes what makes an elite center in the NHL, listing off the key skills from greats like Jonathan Toews, Anze Kopitar and more. The article puts into perspective just how amazing some of the NHL elite’s really are, especially when compared to their counterparts.

Nichols at the 6th Sens talks about how in the summer the Senators and Leafs were discussing a Zibanejad/Kadri swap, but the Leafs wanted more. In hindsight, I think that’d be a bad deal, and I’m glad Ottawa didn’t cave.

Personally I’m happy that Weir46 seems to have found a pretty steady spot in the lineup as I like what he bring over Ottawa’s other depth defenceman.
