Senators start fifth back-to-back of 2025 against Predators in Music City

Two nights ago, the Ottawa Senators began February with a dominating 6-0 shutout win against the Minnesota Wild to win their fourth consecutive game. Now, the Senators begin a four-game road trip before the 4 Nations Face-Off starting with the Nashville Predators.

From four consecutive home games, to now four consecutive road games. However, the Senators enter tonight with a ton of momentum and the Predators enter without momentum.

Senators face Predators in Nashville

The Senators travel to Bridgestone Arena to take on the Predators with puck drop at 7:30 p.m. ET. Tonight is the start of the fifth back-to-back of 2025 for the Senators.

Last game against the Wild, the Senators completely dominated. The Senators recorded 52 shots on goal and scored three powerplay goals in the third period in a 2:52 span. Jake Sanderson recorded a four-point game; Tim Stutzle recorded a three-point game; Brady Tkachuk scored a goal to now have at least 20 goals scored in six seasons. The Senators held the Wild to 16 shots on goal as Leevi Merilainen recorded his third shutout of the season.

As for the Predators, their dissapointing season continues as they are 18-26-7 coming into tonight's game. The Predators come into tonight riding a four-game losing streak.

Even on a struggling team, Filip Forsberg leads the Predators with 18 goals, 31 assists and 49 points. The Predators have 10 players on their roster with a -10 rating or worse.

On Dec. 7, the Senators defeated the Predators 3-1 in the first meeting this season in Ottawa. In the win, Linus Ullmark made 36 saves and Tim Stutzle recorded two assists. Jacob Bernard-Docker and Nick Cousins each scored a goal in the win, but both of them are out for tonight's game. Claude Giroux scored the game-winning goal in the win.
