One way to get fans pumped up before a game is having a solid song that a team comes out to. For the Ottawa Senators in the 2024-25 season, the team came out to "Hells Bells" by AC/DC.

The AC/DC song has been a classic song for people to listen to since the iconic "Back in Black" album was released in 1980. Over 4.5 decades later, the song is still played today in sports and throughout.

Although the 2025 Senators made the playoffs with "Hells Bells" as the entrance song, some fans weren't quite on board with the classic AC/DC song. With that in mind, the time for the Senators to look for a new entrance song might need to be given consideration.

Why Senators need to move on from "Hells Bells" and pick new entrance song

When people think of "Hell," the Senators organization isn't the first one that comes to mind among NHL teams. The easiest one to think about is the New Jersey Devils. "Hell" can go well together with "Devils," not "Senators."

The Devils have been using "Hells Bells" for their entrance song for years. For the Senators, the song might not have fit well overall with the team name not having a Hell or Devil kind of vibe.

An idea for a new entrance song for the Senators could be an idea of using a Canadian music artist or something related to Canada. In particular, a person from Canada. There might be two songs the Senators can use with Canadians involved.

One song is Nickelback's "Burn It to the Ground." Nickelback is a music artist from the Canadian province of Alberta. Although Nickelback can have a mixed reception by people, "Burn It To The Ground" is not only one of the band's top songs, but a song that got fans pumped up.

From 2009-2012, WWE used the Nickelback song for the Monday Night Raw theme song. The Nickelback song is one of the top theme songs in Raw's history. "Burn It to the Ground" also has been used in the NHL before when the New York Islanders used the Nickelback song as their goal song in the early 2010s.

The other song that could come to mind is Kevin Owens' WWE theme song "Fight." Despite Owens being a French Canadian from Montreal, and Ottawa has a solid French population. Owens' theme song is a solid one that WWE fans got pumped up for, and it could have a chance to do the same for Sens fans.

Having a song with something Canada related could get Sens fans more pumped up before a game. Although "Hells Bells" is a classic song to get pumped up behind, not all Sens fans were for the song during the season. The time for the Senators to look at a new entrance song might need to be given some thought.
