Yesterday, the Ottawa Senators began their first back-to-back since late-January against the Detroit Red Wings in Ottawa. The Senators earned themselves a big 2-1 win to jump the Columbus Blue Jackets for the first Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference standings with 71 points.

Now, a quick turnaround hits the Senators. For the first time since November, the Senators will meet the Philadelphia Flyers. Despite being in a playoff position, the last time the Senators played the Flyers was a game they would like to forget.

Senators take on Flyers in Philadelphia

The Senators travel to Wells Fargo Center to take on the Flyers with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

Last night's win was yet another game the Senators needed to have to keep their playoff chase alive. With Linus Ullmark making 48 saves and Dylan Cozens scoring the game-winning goal with just over five minutes left to go in the third period, the Senators were able to come out on top.

Five games into the March, the Senators have earned a crucial nine points. The hot March surge was needed after the Senators fell out of a playoff position in February by finishing the month on a five-game losing streak.

As for the Flyers, they come into tonight's game with a 27-30-8 record. The Flyers are currently on a four-game losing streak, where they have scored one goal in each of the last three games. Travis Konecny leads the Flyers with 22 goals, 42 assists and 64 points. Matvei Michkov is third in the NHL among rookies with 47 points.

When the Senators and Flyers first played each other on Nov. 14, the Senators had a 4-2 lead with under 10 minutes left to go, then the Flyers tied the game at two in a 2:03 span to force overtime. Michkov scored the overtime winner to give the Flyers a 5-4 win in Ottawa.
