Two days ago, the Ottawa Senators began their 2025 preseason at Canadian Tire Centre against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Senators ended up losing 4-3 in regulation.

Now, the second preseason game for the Senators awaits, and it will be a rematch against the same opponent, but on the road.

Sens head to the Six to face Leafs to continue preseason

The Senators play their second preseason game at Scotiabank Arena to take on the Maple Leafs. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

Sunday's loss started rough when Linus Ullmark allowed in three first period goals. Mads Sogaard took over in relief of Ullmark in the second period, and allowed in one goal on 12 Maple Leaf shots on goal he faced. Offensively, Ridly Greig and Drake Batherson were solid with each of them recording a two-point game.

If one big thing resulted in the loss it was both Arthur Kaliyev and Olle Lycksell each scoring a goal in their Senators debut. Both players had very little NHL experience last season with their teams, but scoring a goal in the preseason opener was a good way to make a solid first impression.

Tonight's preseason game for the Senators is the final one before the team heads off to play two preseason games at Videotron Centre in Quebec City, Quebec. The Senators are the designated home team for both of their preseason games against the New Jersey Devils and Montreal Canadiens in Quebec City, but the final preseason game against the Maple Leafs is first.
