From 2022-2024, the NHL's Ottawa Senators and AHL's Belleville Senators had an ECHL affiliate with the Allen Americans. Last season, the Senators didn't have an ECHL affiliate.
For the 2025-26 season, that will change. Today, the Senators confirmed the Americans will be the ECHL affiliate for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
The Americans are located in Allen, Texas, and play their games at Credit Union of Texas Event Center.
"We're proud to once again team up with the Allen Americans as our ECHL affiliate for the 2025-26 season," said Belleville general manager Matt Turek. "Having a solid affiliate will be significantly beneficial to both clubs and provide a clear pathway to the NHL."
As the ECHL affiliate to the Senators in the 2022-23 and 2023-24, the Americans qualified for the playoffs, but last season was a struggle. Allen won 16 of its 72 games last season.
However, a new season will always bring in new hope. Allen begins its 2025-26 season when they travel to INTRUST Bank Arena when they play the Wichita Thunder on Oct. 18 at 7:05 p.m. ET in Wichita, Kansas.
