Three of the Ottawa Senators' first four games this season have been on the road. Tonight, it's the first home stand of the 2025-26 season.
The Senators will begin a four-game home stand tonight against the Seattle Kraken. It will also be the conclusion of the first back-to-back of the season.
Sens begin home stand against Kraken
The Senators host the Kraken at Canadian Tire Centre with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
Last night, the Senators began their first back-to-back of the season with a brutal 8-4 loss to the Buffalo Sabres. A big concern from the loss was the goaltending. Leevi Merilainen allowed in seven goals to the Sabres after the team had scored two goals in three games prior to last night.
If there were some bright spots from the Sabres loss, Shane Pinto stayed hot with scoring his fifth goal of the season. Jordan Spence recorded a three-assist game and Lars Eller scored his first goal as a Senator.
As for the Kraken, they have a 2-0-1 record three games into the season. The Kraken fell 5-4 in overtime in their last game on Tuesday night at Bell Centre against the Montreal Canadiens.
Jared McCann leads the Senators with three goals and is tied for the most points on the roster with four along with Vince Dunn. Ex-Senators goaltender Joey Daccord is off to a solid start in goal for Seattle this season with recording a 2.23 GAA and .918 save percentage in three starts.
Last season, the Senators swept the two-game season series against the Kraken. Both of the wins the Senators had were 3-0 shutout wins. Anton Forsberg and Linus Ullmark each recorded a shutout against the Kraken last season.
Tonight, the Senators will wear their new "Ignite the Red" alternate jersey for the first time at Canadian Tire Centre this season.
