For the first seven seasons of his NHL career, Cedric Paquette was a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning. In 2020, Paquette ended his Lightning tenure with winning the 2020 Stanley Cup.

In December 2020, Paquette was traded by the Lightning to the Ottawa Senators. Paquette was known for his physicality and the Senators needed physicality on their roster.

Unfortunately for Paquette, his Senators tenure only lasted nine games and he was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes. After the 2020-21 season, Paquette joined the Montreal Canadiens and played in 24 games in the 2021-22 season. Paquette hasn't played an NHL games since, but is now a steady player in another league.

Paquette is now a steady player in Russia's KHL

Since last playing with the Canadiens, Paquette has played in the KHL in Russia ever since. But since Paquette joined the KHL, he's been a steady player.

Paquette is in the middle of his second season with the Dynamo Moskva. Paquette is currently one of the three alternate captains on the team. This season, Paquette shown shown his leadership by recording 30 points in 50 games.

With his success in Russia, the thought of why Pacquette couldn't produce more offense in the NHL can begin. Paquette never recorded a 20-point season in the NHL, but has recorded over 27 points or better is his time in the KHL. With this season's point total, Paquette has recorded back-to-back 30-point seasons. In 164 career games in the KHL, Paquette has recorded 92 points. In 448 career NHL games, Pacquette recorded 95 points.

While ex-Senator Chris Tierney has struggled in the KHL since he joined this season, Paquette and another ex-Senator Stephane Da Costa are now two former players who are playing well in the KHL.

In his final game as a Senator on Feb. 2, 2021, Paquette scored a goal, which turned out to be the only point he ever recorded as a Senator.
