Giroux has his name brought up on Kelce brothers podcast

Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce are wiithout a doubt two of the most popular players in NFL history. When recording their "New Heights Podcast," the Kelce brothers were talking about which NHL players could play in the NFL. One of the players that was mentioned was Giroux.

Travis asked Jason if Giroux could play in the NFL at the wide receiver position. Jason gave a high compliement regarding Giroux's game.

"I mean, he's fiesty," Jason said.

Jason later on added that the safety position might be Giroux's best position if he was to play in the NFL. At 5-foot-11, Giroux isn't known for being a power forward, but he isn't afraid to throw his body around if needed.

What some fans might not realize is that Giroux and Jason are very familiar with each other. Giroux was a member of the Philadelphia Flyers from 2008-2022. Jason spent from 2011-2023 with the Philadelphia Eagles for his whole NFL career. With both of them playing in one of the most passionate sports cities in the world, the two got to know each other well. Jason shared a fun story on how competitive Giroux was when he played in Philadelphia.

"He used to come in and ask to arm wrestle anybody," Jason said.

Even though Giroux will never play an NFL game, the former All-Pro center knows a competitive player when he sees one, and Giroux will continue to be a competitive player that provides leadership.

Giroux got off to a slow start this season, but Giroux recorded two assists in Saturday's 5-4 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning. With the Senators in Utah for the first time ever tonight, it offers as another game for Giroux to remain hot.
