In the 2018 NHL Draft, the Ottawa Senators drafted Angus Crookshank with the 126th overall pick. Since being drafted, the 25-year-old hasn't seen much NHL experience.

Crookshank has only played in 14 games in the NHL and has three points in his career. This season, Crookshank has only played in one game for Ottawa.

Despite not much NHL experience, Crookshank is still one of Ottawa's top prospects in the AHL with the Belleville Senators. Crookshank's AHL progress has continued to grow this season with leading Belleville in goals, but now he just made Belleville history.

Crookshank now has most goals in Belleville history

In the first period of Belleville's game tonight against the Toronto Marlies, Crookshank scored a goal to give Belleville a 2-1 lead. With his goal, Crookshank is now Belleville's all-time goal scoring leader with 77. Egor Sokolov previously held the goal scoring record.

Goal scoring has become normal for Crookshank in the AHL, and it's shown with breaking the franchise record for goals in Belleville history.

Crookshank started his AHL career scoring just five goals in the 2020-21 season, but he later turned his goal scoring around for the better to break the record.

Since the 2021-22 season, Crookshank has been able to score at least 22 goals in every season. Crookshank set a career-high 26 goals in the 2021-22 season to keep an eye on him.

Crookshank has been one of Belleville's most important players for years now, and the team will continue to rely on him for Belleville to make a push for the 2025 playoffs.
