The Ottawa Senators must prepare for the second half of a back to back tonight after being defeated by the Anaheim Ducks. They faceoff against the Los Angeles Kings as the California road trip continues.
The Ottawa Senators are deep in a losing spell that has lasted since the team’s return from Sweden. They have lost nine of their last ten and don’t appear to be improving. They are still in contention for a playoff spot because of a strong start, but the hope of the playoffs is slowly fading with each passing game.
Forward
There will be no changes to the lineup tonight, meaning there will be 12 forwards. They will be: Bobby Ryan, Tom Pyatt, Alex Burrows, Zack Smith, Nate Thompson, Ryan Dzingel, Derick Brassard, Gabriel Dumont, Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Mark Stone, Mike Hoffman, and Matt Duchene.
Defence
On defence, once again Claesson will get the scratch. As a result, the six defencemen will be: Dion Phaneuf, Cody Ceci, Johnny Oduya, Erik Karlsson, Ben Harpur, and Thomas Chabot.
Goal
The only change tonight is that Mike Condon will get the start because the team is on a back to back. Anderson will serve as the backup.

Going Forward
As terrible as the past stretch has been for the Ottawa Senators, they must do their best to look forward. They can still recover the season, but that won’t happen if they live in the past. They have to find a way to stay positive and move onto the game tonight with a winning attitude. If they can keep their moral up they will stand a chance.
