Binghamton Senators’ forward Shane Prince just finished helping his team skate to a 5-2 win over the Toronto Marlies while waiting inside the winning locker room at CTC was the news for him to not pack his bags heading to Toronto with the rest of his teammates for tomorrow’s game against the Marlies. Instead, he was to stay put in Ottawa as this is his first call-up in his two and a half seasons within the organization.

Prince, the 2015 AHL All-Star will be in the line-up for the Ottawa Senators when they host the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday night. He has had a terrific season in Binghamton while leading the team with 18 goals, 20 assists and is tied with Chris Wideman with 38 points in 47 games. Prince has seen action on the power play as he drives towards the net in raging fashion.
The third year pro from Spencerport, NY is playing in his final season of a three-year entry-level contract and was a second round draft pick in 2011, 61st overall. Prince was also selected as a recipient of the AHL Player of the Week honors awarded to him on Dec 1st, 2014.
The speedy winger should have no problem adapting to the style of play in the NHL as that might suit him better whether on the power play, setting up others or utilizing that speed in crashing towards the net as he gets his first real taste playing at the top.
