Could “B” Better.

BOBBY RYAN. B. Bobby Ryan’s season got off to a slow start, he has 5 goals through 19 games and is on pace to just break the 20 goal mark. Ryan’s put up 13 points and missed one game due to injury. Bobby has played throughout the lineup and is currently on a unit with Colin Greening and David Legwand. #6 LW/RW. Ottawa Senators

B+. Turris didn’t have the start he had hoped for. This season is his first as Ottawa’s true #1 Center and he’s gotten the job done. 14 points in 20 games is enough to be a low end Top Line guy, but we’d like to see more goals out of Turris. It’s only up hill from here for Turris, expect him to rise on the point charts.. #7 C. Ottawa Senators. KYLE TURRIS

David Legwand was Ottawa’s only free agent off-season signing, and he’s been ok. Legwand can be subject to some controversy on Twitter and he may not be a fan favourite. Legwand has had consistent PP time and has provided limited offence. Legwand looks trusted under MacLean’s system and should continue to be a good player for Ottawa.. #17 C. Ottawa Senators. DAVID LEGWAND. B-

Ottawa Senators. CURTIS LAZAR. B+. Curtis Lazar has been a solid player for the Senators in the first quarter. Lazar has been a healthy scratch a few times and missed 2 games due to injury. Lazar has yet to find his first NHL goal yet has performed well on the Senators’ “kid line”. Lazar may go to the world juniors in the 2nd quarter, but is likely to remain in Ottawa and bury his NHL first.. #27

B. Chris Neil has brought Chris Neil hockey thus far. He’s not afraid to drop the gloves and at times suffers from “dumb penalty syndrome”. Neil is 3rd on the team in PM’s with 27 and receives a B grade since he has actually found the back of the net 3 times and has 2 helpers. Good numbers for Neil early on.. #25 RW. Ottawa Senators. CHRIS NEIL
