Senators Players who brought their “A” Game.

A-. Clarke MacArthur got off to a hot start, he scored 7 goals in October and earned Ottawa’s best player for the month of October award. MacArthur has played consistently with Kyle Turris in what has been Ottawa’s only consistent pairing all season. MacArthur’s hot month of October earns him an A-.. #16 LW. Ottawa Senators. CLARKE MACARTHUR

A. The Kid line was by far Ottawa’s best in the later 1st quarter and Mike Hoffman led it. Hoffman went on a streak that included 6 goals in 5 games and two 2 goal performances. Hoffman is still atop the Rookie goal lead and despite his calder inegibility, he is having a great start to his first full time NHL season. Hoffman just turned 25 so he is at the point where you’ve either proven yourself or you haven’t. This is a big telling year for Hoffman and if he keeps it up, he may end up just ok.. #68 LW. Ottawa Senators. MIKE HOFFMAN

Sénateurs D'Ottawa. ALEX CHIASSON. A. Chiasson may be the only piece from the Jason Spezza trade who contributes at the NHL level. Alex Guptill has gotten of to a rough start in Binghamton, yet Nick Paul’s future is bright. Chiasson, however has had a good start to the season. It’s clear that his “wheelhouse” is in front of the net, and as long as he’s there.. he’ll continue to score goals.. #90 RW

#61 RW. Ottawa Senators. MARK STONE. A-. Stone has impressed in the early going. Coming into training camp he was one of a few that wasn’t guaranteed a spot. Early on Stone played on a line with MacArthur and Turris and was used throughout the lineup. Recently, Ottawa’s Kid Line has dominated and Stone has been a part of that. His and his linemates play of recent may have warranted an expanded role and potential top 6 minutes.
