Best Wishes And Get Well Soon Bryan Murray

Sometimes the business of hockey has to take a back seat, and today is one of those days.  On behalf of the staff of SenShot I would like to send our best wishes to Ottawa Senators GM Bryan Murray after the club confirmed today that he is battling cancer and will be in and out of the front office over the coming weeks and months.

You might not always agree with the decisions that he has made over his tenure in Ottawa, but Murray has been nothing but forthright in his dealings with the media (at least as much as possible) and I am sure the entire fan base of the Senators, as well as the NHL in general, are hoping for a full and quick recovery in his current battle.

I have had the opportunity to speak with him one on one on one occasion, and he was more than willing to answer a few questions for me for this site, which I am grateful for having.

Murray is a native of nearby Shawville, and has been with the Senators organization since coming in as head coach just prior to the 2004-05 lockout.  He became General Manager after John Muckler was fired after the conclusion of the 2007 season, right after guiding the club to their only Stanley Cup Finals appearance in franchise history.

Get well soon, Bryan.
