Erik Condra is one of those guys that makes the most of what he brings, but doesn’t really have the skill set to be a consistent producer. He has a niche spot on the roster, and is a quality penalty killer, but that is about the end of his upside. That being said, his game doesn’t lend well to extreme highs or lows, but here goes…
HIGHS
- Led the Senators in SH time on ice among forwards
- Led Senators forwards in blocked shots
LOWS
- Scored just 1 goal in his last 35 games
- For a bottom 6 forward, credited with only 24 hits
CONTRACT STATUS
Erik Condra is entering the last year of his 2 year deal that pays him $1.3M this season with a cap hit of $1.25M. He will become an unrestricted free agent after the season if he doesn’t reach a contract extension.

PROGNOSIS
Erik Condra gives you what he gives you. Simple as that. His skill set isn’t going to set the world on fire and he makes the most of his chances, but if you get 10 goals from him it was a great season.
GRADE: D : Condra gets his time in defensive situations. For a guy getting less than 12 minutes a game and no power play time, his numbers aren’t going to climb. Still, his reputation as a stopper sometimes gets overblown because that is essentially all he brings.
