SenShot Mock Draft Pick #13 – Winnipeg Jets

As the mock draft gets closer to the middle of the first round, we get to the team that is moving from the East to the West, after missing the playoffs in their final season in the Southeast Division.  although not exactly into the division they wanted, they will be in tough in what amounts to the former Central Division with the Blackhawks, Blues among others, but devoid of Canadian teams.

TEAM STRENGTHS:  Grit, strong starting goaltending

TEAM WEAKNESSES: Top line scoring

UNDER CONSIDERATION:   Elias Lindholm, Alexander Wennburg, Samuel Morin,  Bo Horvat, Nicolas Petan

FANSIDED MOCK DRAFT PICK: Hockey At The Forks selected Max Domi

SENSHOT’S CHOICE: Elias Lindholm from Brynas of the SEL. Ranked higher on many draft lists, the Jets are fortunate to get Lindholm at 13.  He is a top line talent who might be a couple of years away but worth the wait. Lindholm posted 30 points in 48 games in the Swedish Elite League, leading all rookie scorers. With Mark Scheifele and Lindholm up the middle, the Jets have the building blocks for the future.
