6th Sens “Mark Stone Merits Calder Consideration” – Nichols

Submission: Trevor Shackles

Mark Stone deserves Calder consideration says Nichols, and I have to agree. In the end I think Aaron Ekblad will deservingly win it, but Stone’s accomplishments this year shouldn’t be undermined because of that.

I’d say he’s legitimately Ottawa’s best forward right now, as he does everything you want in a player. I think it’s only time before he hits 70+ points in the coming years.

Ottawa Citizen “Senators on verge of record-setting comeback to NHL playoffs” – Ken Warren

Submission: Eldrinson Vado

As the Ottawa Senators position themselves back in the playoff race, it comes to no surprise that they are breaking historical records. A record as old as two decades could be broken if the Senators do end up making the playoffs. A record that has been held by the 1994 New York Islanders.

Now, as the team is on a mini-skid and out of a playoff spot, it’ll take a nice run through the last 8 games to claim that playoff spot. Can they do it? who knows..
