Fansided NHL Mock Draft Pick 16 – Washington Capitals

For their 2nd pick in this year’s first round, Capitals Outsider and the Washington Capitals select defenseman Hampus Lindholm from Rogle of the Swedish Elite League.

SenShot’s Take

Lindholm is this year’s version of Mika Zibanejad, the player who seems to be a fast riser.  The big, mobile defenseman is offensively oriented with questions about his defensive ability.  A perfect fit for the tradition of the Washington Capitals if you ask me.

With Mike Green, Karl Alzner, John Carlson and now Lindholm manning the blue line, offense from the point shouldn’t be a problem for a while.
