The Ottawa Senators are set to play their regular season finale against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night. The Senators will be looking to end the campaign on a strong note before they take on the Carolina Hurricanes in the first round of the playoffs.

The Senators are entering this contest with the hope of bouncing back from their 4-3 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils. Before it, the Senators won each of their previous four games.

Yet, with the playoffs right around the corner, it has now been confirmed that Brady Tkachuk and four more of their players will not be in the lineup against the Maple Leafs.

Brady Tkachuk & 4 more Senators ruled out for Maple Leafs matchup

According to The Ottawa Sun's Bruce Garrioch, Tkachuk, Tim Stutzle, Jake Sanderson, Thomas Chabot, and Michael Amadio all won't be in the lineup for the Senators against the Maple Leafs.

Tkachuk has not played since exiting the Senators' April 11 contest against the New York Islanders but is expected to be good to go for the playoffs. In 60 games this regular season, Tkachuk had 22 goals, 37 assists, and 59 points.

Stutzle had another strong regular season with the Senators this year, as he had 34 goals, 49 assists, and 83 points in 80 games. This included him recording two goals and eight points over his last seven games.

Sanderson appeared in 67 games this regular season for Ottawa, where he had 14 goals, 40 assists, 54 points, and a plus-16 rating. He also had three goals and six points in his last four games of the regular season.

Chabot was also a key part of the Senators' roster this regular season, posting seven goals, 31 points, and a plus-6 rating in 57 games. It makes sense that the left-shot defenseman will be resting ahead of the Senators' playoff run, as he had injury trouble this season.

As for Amadio, he scored 15 goals and set new career highs with 20 assists and 35 points in 81 games this season with the Senators. With numbers like these, he provided the Senators with solid secondary offensive production this campaign and will be looking to translate that over to the playoffs.

Garrioch also shared that forward Hayden Hodgson will be in the lineup for the Senators against the Maple Leafs. The 30-year-old forward has zero points and 23 hits in nine games this season with Ottawa.
