The Ottawa Senators lost against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday Night

As the Ottawa Senators continue their unlikely bid to the postseason, they began their road trip against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Sens would lose 4-3 in Overtime. Here is your SenShot Game Recap:

First Period

With 17:19 left to play in the first period, the Columbus Blue Jackets open the scoring as Kent Johnson scored his 16th on the powerplay. 1-0.

Dylan Gambrell scores off of a pass from Erik Brannstrom with 16:00 left to play in the period. 1-1.

Eric Robinson quickly ties it up with 15:55 seconds left. 2-1

Mark Kastelic ties things up at 2 with his 6th goal of the season with 10:34 left to play in the period as Jon Gillies loses his skate blade.

Alex DeBrincat scores to bring the Senators the lead for the first time tonight with his 26th goal of the year with 5:14 left to play in the period.

The period ends with the Senators leading 3-2. The shots are in favor of the Sens 10-5.

Second Period

There would be no scoring in the second period, the game is still 3-2 in favor of the Senators, and the shots also are in favor of the Sens 19-13.

Third Period

With 5:49 left to play, Boone Jenner ties things up at three with his 26th goal of the season.

At the end of regulation, the score remains 3-3. Onto Overtime. Ottawa leads in shots 27-21.

Overtime
