The Ottawa Senators are set to face off against the Toronto Maple Leafs

After losing against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday, the Ottawa Senators will host the Toronto Maple Leafs for the third time this season on Hockey Night In Canada. Here is your SenShot Gameday Preview:

Ottawa Senators Notes

The Senators lost 5-4 against the Colorado Avalanche in Regulation on Tuesday, but the winning goal was an extremely controversial one.

The Senators hope to win tonight to keep their playoff hopes alive. A win today would boost the Sens to 72 points tying them with the Buffalo Sabres.

Since January 1st, Tim Stützle is 4th in NHL scoring with 22 goals and 23 assists for 45 points.

DJ Smith announced that there would be no line changes from last game.

Mads Sogaard will start in net.

Toronto Maple Leafs Notes

The Toronto Maple Leafs are coming off of a 5-2 win against the Carolina Hurricanes last evening. This is the second game of a back-to-back.

Joseph Woll was called up from the AHL today as Ilya Samsonov is expected to miss tonight’s game. Bobby McCann was also called up.

Mitch Marner leads the team in points with 87, while William Nylander leads the team in goals with 35.

Matt Murray will start in net. It will be his first time playing against the Ottawa Senators since being traded during the offseason.
