The NHL Trade Deadline has come and passed, and the Ottawa Senators opted to make one depth trade today.
With the NHL Trade Deadline having passed as of 3pm today, the Ottawa Senators elected to make one trade. They made their major trade a few days ago, acquiring all-star defenseman Jakob Chychrun from the Arizona Coyotes, but were not completely quiet today. The rather-minor trade that the Ottawa Senators have made provides depth to the forwards should injuries arise. The Ottawa Senators acquired forward Patrick Brown from the Philadelphia Flyers im exchange for their sixth round pick in this years draft.

Patrick Brown, acquired from the Philadelphia Flyers is a 30 year old depth center who has appeared in 43 games this year. In those games, he excelled in John Tortorella’s system, providing more of a defensive role. He’s scored 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points. He is a rather unknown presence, and will most likely serve as the team’s 13th forward.
Patrick Brown, acquired by OTT, is a Canadian politician who has served as the 51st and current mayor of Brampton since 2018. He served as leader of the Official Opposition in Ontario and leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservative (PC) Party from 2015 to 2018. #GoSensGo pic.twitter.com/YhdgIEBn8k
