Player to Watch: Artem Zub

Since entering the lineup it’s been impossible for Artem Zub to leave, his calm, methodical game has been noticeable on the ice and in his underlying numbers.

Zub ranks second in the NHL in CF% among players with at least 6 games played.

So far Zub has 2 assists in his first 6 NHL games and looks to be locked in on the 2nd pairing alongside Mike Reilly.

Starting Goalies

Matt Murray

11 GP, 2-6-1, 0.886 SV%, 3.64 GAA

Murray has been sensational over his last 3 starts where his save percentage hasn’t dipped below 0.938 and he hasn’t surrendered more than 2 goals over that stretch.

Murray is starting to show why the Senators conceded a 2nd-round pick and a prospect for him at the draft, stability in the crease will be essential if Ottawa wants to start winning.

Connor Hellebuyck

9 GP, 5-3-1, 0.911 SV%, 2.55 GAA

The former Vezina Trophy winner looks to be in form once again and will be tough to beat again tonight as he always is. He gave up 3 goals on 29 shots in Winnipeg’s 3-2 defeat versus Calgary on February 9th.
