After finally getting back on the ice in Finland, Abramov has had a phenomenal start

On loan to Mikkelin Jukurit of the Liiga due to the postponement of NHL/AHL play due to the pandemic, Abramov is trying to make the most of his playing time. Missing the first 4 games due to quarantine reasons, Abramov has been exceptional in his first two games.

In his first game versus Ässät Abramov scored 2 goals, including the game-winner on a penalty shot. He finished with a team-high 9 shots on net and was dominant the whole game, he looked far and away better than the competition and that’s no easy feat since the Liiga one of the stronger leagues in Europe. Abramov also logged 19:22 TOI for the game.

Here is Abramov’s first goal:

A beautiful goal from Abramov and one that fans have come to expect from the Senators prospect, known for his high skill and insane finishes. Later on, Abramov would impress again, putting the game on ice in overtime:

Jukurit had lost their first three games of the season, Abramov single-handedly led them to their first win of the season.

In their next game versus HIFK Abramov came out blazing again, scoring 2 goals in the first period,  giving him 4 goals in his first 4 periods. Jukurit would go on to win the game 4-1, with Abramov logging 16:32 of ice time and firing 8 shots on net.

Back to back wins with Abramov in the lineup, there’s no doubt Abramov has added a jolt of energy to the whole team and will look to keep his strong play going for the rest of his stint until NHL training camp.

With this great start, combined with his solid season in the AHL last season, Abramov will be an intriguing name in training camp, potentially with a shot at the NHL roster.
