The SenShot prospect rankings series rolls on with another segment this time numbers eight through ten on the list, as we get closer to the cream of the crop.

Number 10: Shane Pinto

Quite a surprising draft pick, considering the Senators gamble to pick him at 32nd overall. There was other options that seemed better to most namely, Arthur Kaliyev, Bobby Brink and Raphael Lavoie.

But no, the Senators management under Pierre Dorion look like their right once again.

Pinto committed to North Dakota University, and is playing really well there. He has 14 points in 17 games alongside fellow Senators prospects, Jacob Bernard-Docker and Jonny Tychonick.

He was selected to play for Team USA at the World Juniors, this will be a great chance for Sens fans and especially management to get a good look at the American star player.

Number 9: Marcus Hogberg

Looking really bright in the few games that he played after the call up recently. Hogberg is a big goalie standing at 6’5″ and 217 lbs, enough to cover a lot of the net.

He is the starting goalie for the Belleville Senators right now and is playing very well there. There is some competition in net down there as three goalies, Joey Daccord, Filip Gustavsson and Hogberg are all vying for only two spots.

He has a 1-1-2 record this season with the Sens, and played very well for stretches in those few games.

His contract is one-way for the 2020-21 season for a reason, he’s deemed fit to be the backup if not starter of the future for the Senators organization.

Number 8: Jacob Bernard-Docker

Bernard-Docker, or JBD for short was a 26th overall pick by the Senators in the 2018 draft, and is living up to his lofty expectations this year in college.

He’s playing on the same team as fellow Senators prospects Shane Pinto and Jonny Tychonick.

He was selected to play for Team Canada, which will pit him in a battle against teammate, Shane Pinto. Should be real interesting to watch.
