We are now entering the part of the list where the top prospects are. This one is the three prospects from 11-13 on the list.

Number 13: Jonathan Davidsson

A real intriguing prospect to say the least. Davidsson was a sixth round pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2017.

Although the late round he was picked in, it wasn’t for lack of skill there just wasn’t much info about him. He nearly made the lineup of the Blue Jackets in the 2018-19 season after a great training camp.

He was then traded at the deadline of 2019 as part of the package for Matt Duchene, along with Vitaly Abramov and a first round pick (Lassi Thomson).

He didn’t make the cut right out of training for the Senators this year, but because of injuries plaguing the Senators lineup he did see time in the NHL, for six games.

In 14 games this year with the B-Sens he has a respectable two goals and three assists for five total points.

Estimated NHL arrival: 2020-21 season.

Number 12: Christian Jaros

He already played an almost full season in the NHL, so this is definitely the last year he makes this list.

He put up ten points as a steady rookie defenceman, who can block shots and hit often.

He’s playing meaningful minutes on the Belleville Senators as a top pairing defenceman on a Calder Cup contending team.

He has 20 games with a goal and ten points, which is great for a young 22-year old defenceman in the AHL.

Estimated NHL arrival: 2020-21 season.

Number 11: Lassi Thomson

Just missing the top ten on this list, I believe he will definitely make it next year. He could even make the top five.

A big part of the trade for Matt Duchene, Thomson decided to play the year in Finland to fine tune his play so he can play in North America in the not-so-distant future.

He had an injury so he missed a few games but he’s contributing at a high level for Ilves Tampere of the SM-Liiga. He has six goals and four assists for ten point through 23 games.

He will be the team captain of Team Finland at the World Juniors.

Estimated NHL arrival: 2022-23 season.
