Moving on in the series of the top 25 prospects in the Ottawa Senators organization here we have the next three in this segment of the series.

Number 19: Max Veronneau

An undrafted winger out of college, Veranneau stepped into the NHL right after he was signed and put up pretty solid numbers as a rookie. He got a two goals and a pair of assists in twelve games, which earned the respect of his coaches and teammates.

He started the 2019-20 campaign in the AHL, but was called up for a brief stint in Ottawa for four games.

He’s having a good year in Belleville with nine points in 25 games, and could very well be an integral part of the Senators immediate future.

Estimated NHL arrival: 2020-21 season.

Number 18: Joey Daccord

He was coincidentally drafted the same pick as NFL legend Tom Brady at 199th overall. He uses this as motivation, that despite the low pick he can still achieve greatness like Brady.

He committed to Arizona State University which is not at all known for their hockey program, but he made the most of his time there.

He started of his 2019-20 season in the Senators ECHL affiliate, the Brampton Beast, and put up solid numbers there. But it wasn’t long before the 6’2″ 197 lbs goaltender was called up for duties with the B-Sens.

He did great there posting three wins in five starts, giving the Senators management a good look at their possible future starter.

Estimated NHL arrival: 2022-23

Number 17: Filip Gustavsson

The Senators had high hopes for the Swedish goalie when they traded for him back in the 2017-18 season.

He struggled early on with the B-Sens but stabilized his play towards the end of the season.

Although he has great skill and poise, minor league play hasn’t been his thing just yet. He’s really struggled so far as his SV% of 0.878 is well below average which is further prolonging his first NHL start.

Estimated NHL arrival: 2021-22 season.
