Game Preview: Saturday at Philadelphia
The Senators will conclude their five game road trip with a match up against the Philadelphia.
They face a Flyers team who is in 3rd place in the Metro, with a record of 16-8-5. They are 6-2-2 in their last ten games.
The Senators sit at 7th in the Atlantic at 12-16-1, but are coming off a great win, momentum wise against the Oilers. They now have won ten out of their last eleven games against Edmonton, and the last six on the road.
The Senators have been playing surprisingly good hockey of late, except for a slight bump on the road.
I presume sens coach D.J. Smith will elect to put Anders Nilsson in net, as Anderson played last game.
Big guns on each team to watch out for:
Philadelphia:
Travis Konecny is playing the best of his career so far and should be a force to be reckoned with. Other than that the Flyers haven’t been able to get most of their players rolling.
Ottawa:
Jean-Gabriel Pageau has taken the goal-scoring reigns this year and could get a spark today. Tyler Ennis is coming off a three points effort vs the Oilers, so he will try to continue the hot play.
The game starts at 1:00 Eastern Time in Wells Fargo Center so don’t sleep in too much, or you’ll miss the game!
