Number Two: Vitaly Abramov

Another prospect that was originally acquired at the cost of a big ticket player, in this case Matt Duchene.

Last season he didn’t have such a good season, although he did have some flashes of brilliance sprinkled in. In total he played 70 games between the Monsters/Senators and notched 16 goals and 13 assists for 29 total points.

This season however he is demonstrating how great of player he really is especially since his three game showcase for the Ottawa Senators. He impressed but was eventually bumped out of the lineup.

He has eight goals and nine assists in 18 games, which is very impressive for an AHL sophomore.

He will most probably grace the Senators uniform for good starting next year, but maybe even this year after the deadline.
