In a rebuilding scenario having a healthy prospect pool is absolutely key, but the Senators have gone far beyond that. They have one of the best, if not the best prospect pool in the league, and these players are the pride of the pack.

Number Three: Josh Norris

He was initially acquired by the sens in the infamous Karlsson trade, and is now one of the sens top prospects.

This season is likely to be the breakout season for the 20-year old star. He is already showing signs of a promising NHL career with the Senators AHL affiliate, the Belleville Senators.

A slow start for the B-Sens did nothing to stop them from coming together and turning it around. The B-Sens are now 13-8-1 and aren’t showing any signs of slowing down. In fact they are just starting, what will likely be a big run.

So far Norris is one of the main reasons for the B-Sens success, with him posting nine goals and nine assists for 18 points in 21 games.

He should be in Ottawa permanently right out of training camp next season.
