Next: What Are The Ottawa Senators Options Going Forward?

The Season Going Forward

As the calendar changes to February the Ottawa Senators sit 17 points out of the playoffs. Their season is essentially over at this point. Going forward the Sens should look to give playing time to younger players to give them experience. Additionally, the Sens should be trying to sell off the older players which will not have a future with this team in the next one or two years. In addition this will likely hurt the team in the short term which will help their long terms prospects.

Weakening the team this season will allow them to draft a better player in June to possible speed up the rebuilding process. However, first before all this can take place they must complete their game against the Anaheim Ducks tonight.
