Ottawa Senators Look To Snap Losing Streak Versus Rangers
The Ottawa Senators have now lost five straight after a lost to the Buffalo Sabres last night. They will once again try to break the streak tonight against the New York Rangers.
With the Ottawa Senators losing 5 straight and 12 of their last 13 the Sens have played themselves out of a playoff spot. With every passing game the playoffs become even more of a fairy tale.
Forward
The Sens are expected to use their usual 12 forwards tonight. They will be: Bobby Ryan, Matt Duchene, Mark Stone, Ryan Dzingel, Derick Brassard, Tom Pyatt, Mike Hoffman, Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Zack Smith, Alex Burrows, Nate Thompson, and Gabriel Dumont.
Defence
On defence it appears that Ben Harpur will once again get the scratch. This mean the six defencemen will be: Johnny Oduya, Erik Karlsson, Dion Phaneuf, Cody Ceci, Fredrik Claesson, and Thomas Chabot.
Goal
Craig Anderson will get the start tonight as Mike Condon played the first half of the back to back.

Making An Attempt At A Comeback
It’s a difficult time for the Ottawa Senators. They are in the midst of what could be their most disappointing season in their history. Now they return home after a seven game road trip. They only won one of those seven games and as a result are deep in the depths of the Eastern Conference standings. With little left to lose at this point, the Ottawa Senators will need to make an effort to treat every game like it’s the playoffs. Otherwise there’s not much chance that this team sees post-season play.
