Complacency
After nearly losing the to the Flyers last night the Ottawa Senators need to put their efforts into holding the lead. They haven’t had trouble getting leads this season, but nearly every game they’ve lost has been because they choked. Luckily so far, they’ve been able to get at least one point in those games but that isn’t guaranteed to last. There will be many games the Sens lose in regulation if this keeps up.
Even the games the Sens are winning they have been choking like they did against the Flyers yesterday. What’s kept them in it is that they are first in the league in third period goals with 16. However, they are tied for third last in third period goals against with 14. With the Ottawa Senators not known to be an offensive team this may not be sustainable, so they need to clean things up defensively. It needs to start tonight against the Devils.
